Jeff Noble is the lead pastor of Northstar Church in Blacksburg, Virginia. Jeff’s personal mission statement is “To establish creative, loving, and inspired ministry that loosens the burdens of religion and leads people to a lifetime, obedient relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ.” He also summarizes it from his days as a collegiate minister at the University of Arkansas at Monticello as “To magnify God as life’s ultimate joy.” He also writes regularly on his personal blog, Notes from the Trail.
Jody Smotherman serves as the bi-vocational pastor of Newark Southern Baptist (since 2004). He has previously pastored two others churches and served as a minister to collegiate’s/young adults. He is a pastor, pharmacist, husband, dad, avid reader, and obsessed outdoorsman (hunting/fishing). His passion in ministry is to teach God’s Word and provide discipleship that is relational and authentic.
Richard Pool was born into a non-Christian household and came to faith at age 19 at University He met his wife Anne at University, and they married in 1980. He worked in research and development for 7 years before going back to college to study theology. In 1990, his daughter Ally was born and in 1991 he started full-time ministry in two small churches in Newark and Nottinghamshire in the UK. He is currently serving a Baptist Church just outside the town of Bedford in the UK. Richard writes The View from Here blog.
